“Teaching come from everywhere when you open yourself to them. That’s the trick of it, really. Open yourself to everything and everything opens itself to you.”

Lavender Gifts
Lavender is dried! I’m in the process of packaging and gifting!
The First Harvest
Harvesting lavender is one of my favorites. I have always loved the plants soft smell and beautiful purple colour tones. I was first inspired to plant lavender because of my Auntie. She lives in the Okanagan where lavender also thrives. Throughout my whole life she has harvested her lavender yearly, boxed it up and send it in the mail to all her family and friends. Inspired by her, I will be doing the same with gifting the lavender so others can enjoy too!
Lavender Lemonade Recipe
1 cup of sugar, one teaspoon of dried lavender, 2 cups of boiling water, 1 cup of lemon juice, 1 cup of cold water, lots of ice, lavender sprig optional for garnish.
Gardening in June
It has been a busy June and I haven’t been able to get into the garden as much and I like. Everything is growing beautifully however we have a weevil issue with my holy hock leaves. Luckily it doesn’t effect the beautiful blooms though.
I will wait a little longer before I do my first cut with harvesting the lavender, but I am looking forward to having dried lavender in the house for my bouquets.
A lot of TLC went into the roses as the aphids love the roses.
Rose Bouquets are beautiful and my absolute favorite.
Before and After
The Pathway
This week in May is one of my favorite weeks in the garden as most of the foliage start to fill out. Soon enough flowers will be in full bloom. I have so many visions for the Garden areas. This one has come to together nicely. We did some trial and error as always, however it’s the vision turning into fruition. Just wait until the blooming season for hollyhocks, lupins, delphiniums, foxgloves, poppies, cosmos, lavender and roses!
